Climate in Andalucia, Spain

'The weather' is the most likely response you will receive if you ask a person why they choose to stay or holiday in Southern Spain. Indeed the small stretch of coastline between Malaga and Sotogrande is famed for having a climate as close to perfection as can be found anywhere in the world. Of course it does occasionally rain. When this happens, it's such a novelty that most people are as pleased as the plants to welcome it.

Summers are hot but not unbearably so and although much cooler in winter, the sun makes an appearance most days. The seasons are clearly defined, unlike in some sunny destinations where an unrelenting sun burns continually. One can play in the mountain snow during the coolest months without ever being chilled to the bone. In summer the breeze normally makes even the hottest days balmy. All in all, the weather is truly lovely. Life seems that little bit brighter in a place where most days begin under a blue sky.
